Jellystone Park is a family-oriented environment that emphasizes outdoor fun. We stayed in very comfortable 4-person camping cabins that were adjacent to a wooded area, and, therefore a little more secluded from the rows upon rows of RVs. The bathrooms were also well-maintained and nearby. All the fire pits had nice grills attached for easy campfire cooking. Fire wood delivered directly to site upon request. The waterpark with a large lazy river, small wavepool, and kids’ play area were all fantastic for families. We went in the last week of August and the park was a little quieter with plenty of shaded poolside seating. The Cabin Canteen at the waterpark was also of good value (decent pizza and wings for fairly reasonable price). The waterpark closes at 6 when the lifeguards head home but there are 2 other pools and a kiddie pool open until dusk. Our toddler also enjoyed the 20 minute train ride through the park, and the conductor was very friendly and allowed him to blow the whistle and sit up front for photos. All staff were wonderful and focused on creating an environment where families can relax, connect, and have a great time. It was a wonderful family camping trip in the Northwoods!
